How MedBlueprint Prep Calculates Readiness
Understand how readiness tracking works, what the category weights mean, and how to use your dashboard to guide focused study.
Weighted Readiness Based on Official NCLEX Distributions
MedBlueprint Prep uses the official NCLEX-RN category distributions from the 2026 NCSBN Test Plan to weight your readiness. Categories that appear more frequently on the NCLEX have a greater influence on your overall readiness score.
This means if you are strong in Management of Care (which makes up 15–21% of the exam), that will boost your overall readiness more than being strong in Basic Care and Comfort (which makes up 6–12%). The weighting helps you understand where to focus your study time for the greatest impact on test-day performance.

Important Notes
Readiness is a study-planning tool
Your readiness score helps you prioritize which categories to study next. It is designed to guide your preparation, not predict your exact exam outcome.
No pass guarantee
MedBlueprint Prep does not claim to guarantee NCLEX success or predict pass probability. Readiness labels indicate your relative performance in our practice questions.
The NCLEX is adaptive
Individual NCLEX exams are computerized adaptive tests with variable length and content distribution. Your actual exam may emphasize different categories within the official ranges.
Higher-weight categories matter more
Categories like Management of Care and Pharmacological Therapies have higher weights because they represent larger portions of the NCLEX. Improving in these areas has more impact on overall readiness.
